The conveyor belt is the invention that keeps our modern life moving seamlessly, especially at the grocery store. Ten items or less, 30 or more, no matter the amount, the belt keeps moving and you're constantly on the go. More often that you would imagine, milk cartons rip, frozen foods sweat and wet produce gathers. By the end of a shift, a conveyor belt can look more like a tank tread. Using some basic household cleaning techniques---and armed with a spray bottle and liquid soap---you can do wonders.
Instructions
Step 1
Fill a spray bottle three-quarters full of water.
Step 2
Fill the remainder of the spray bottle with liquid antibacterial soap. Shake briefly to mix.
Step 3
Spray the conveyor belt. For best results, keep the belt turning for one complete cycle as you spray.
Step 4
Wipe down the conveyor belt with a clean rag. Again, keep the belt turning as you dry to ensure there are no wet spots.
Step 5
Stop the conveyor belt and allow to air dry.
